A man claiming his voice was used without permission on album tracks is suing Lil’ Wayne and Birdman.
Thomas Marasciullo said he was asked to record some, “Italian style spoken word,” in 2006.
He says his recordings were used on “Respect” and other tracks from Wayne’s and Birdman’s Like Father Lie Son as well as Birdman’s 5 (Star) Stunna.
Marasciullo is also suing Cash Money Records and other music distribution outlets for unspecified damages.
Marasciullo says he learned of the recordings when his daughter came across the song “Respect” while looking for ringtones.
Lil Wayne is currently awaiting sentencing on a gun possession charge he pled guilty to last week.
He is facing up to a year in prison.
